This page explains how to contact us about support, privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests for the Carity app.

1. General Support

For app help, feature questions, premium-access issues, or notification problems, contact:

Support
support@carity.co.uk
support.carity.co.uk

When contacting us, please include what you can safely provide, such as:

  • your device model;
  • iOS version;
  • the version of Carity you are using;
  • the issue you experienced;
  • whether the issue relates to favourites, alerts, reminders, notifications, or premium access; and
  • if relevant, screenshots or the approximate date and time of the issue.

2. Privacy and Data Requests

If you want to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact:

Privacy
legal@carity.co.uk
support@carity.co.uk (alternative)

Please use the subject line: Carity data request

3. How Identification Works

Carity is primarily device-based and may not maintain a traditional named user account for app features.

That means we may need enough information to identify your device or records safely before we can respond. Depending on the request, we may ask for:

  • your device identifier if available in the app or support flow;
  • approximate dates of use;
  • the type of data involved, such as vehicle data, alerts, or entitlement history; and
  • proof of purchase or subscription details for premium-access issues.

We may decline or limit a request where we cannot verify it safely or where legal exceptions apply.

4. What You Can Request

Subject to applicable law, you may be able to request:

  • a copy of certain personal data we hold about you;
  • correction of inaccurate data;
  • deletion of data we no longer need or are not required to retain;
  • restriction of certain processing;
  • objection to certain processing based on legitimate interests; or
  • information about how your data is used and shared.

5. App Removal and Data Deletion

Removing the app from your device may not by itself delete backend records immediately.

Because Carity stores device-linked data to support alerts, reminders, entitlement visibility, and service integrity, some records may remain until:

  • they are deleted under our normal retention practices; or
  • you submit a valid deletion request and we can identify the relevant records.

6. What Data May Be Affected

Depending on your usage, your request may relate to:

  • device trust and security records;
  • APNS token records;
  • favourites and alerts;
  • garage and reminder data;
  • mirrored entitlement and purchase-event records; and
  • support or operational records connected to your request.

7. Response Times

We aim to respond within a reasonable time and, where required by law, within the time required by the applicable privacy regime.

If a request is unusually complex, we may need more time or more information from you.

8. Accessibility and Communication Support

If you need these materials or support communications in a more accessible format, contact us and tell us what format would help.
